Ninth Anniversary of the Tibetan Peace Garden at Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park

A celebration of the Dalai Lama's message of peace in the world and non-violence as a means to resolving all differences.

Some snacks and light refreshments will be available courtesy of Tibet Foundation, but you are encouraged to bring your own picnic and relax in this beautiful garden.

Children 5-15 invited to draw, paint or create miniatures of any of fifteen different Tibetan designs (supplied by the Tibet Foundation on request) for a competition. Children can make their chosen designs at home and bring them with them or make them at the Peace Garden on the day. A panel of judges will select the winners at 3.30pm on the day and present prizes - 50 for the first, 15 each for the next three and 10 each for the last three runners-up.

All those present at the occasion will get a free Tibetan Peace Garden postcard.

Also Prayer Flag Printing Workshop courtesy of Other World Arts. Bring your blank t-shirts or material and make prayer flags on the day.
