Rewrite Film Festival workshops at Southwark Playhouse

Rewrite Film Festival is a mobile phone festival for young people aged 15-20 run by Southwark Playhouse in partnership with B3 Media and 18-year-old Street Geniuses Jade and Ardilson.

Remake!! Remake a film or a short scene from a television programme (with a twist). For example, not let trinity die in the matrix or keep the Asian family in Eastenders. What if a film was called Black Chicks instead of White Chicks?

Reprogramme!! Reprogramme the audiences' views on something that affects you personally for example the youth of today. Does the media really give an accurate impression of the youth today?

Rewind!! Rewind into the past and change something that's been done before, a sort of what if? For example. What if you took a left and not a right on your way out of your house? This moment in history can be a personal or a general moment.

Come along and learn about editing and green screen, use Southwark Playhouse's atmospheric space to film in, find actors, and meet the people involved.

Closing date for entries: 29 August
Prize-giving 7 September.
