'Discovering Your Family's History at the Imperial War Museum' 11.30am
An introductory talk by Sarah Paterson, Museum Librarian.

'What Great-Great-Grandma Did in the War' 2pm
Sarah Paterson examines the Women's Work Collection and how it can assist tracing family history.

'Snapshot Stories' 3.30pm
Hilary Roberts from the Photograph Archive uncovers what can be learnt from family photographs, and how they can be used to piece together your family's past.

Sunday 19 October

'Postcards of the First World War - photographs, messages and postmarks' 12.30pm
Fergus Read talks about how surviving items can be useful in finding out the story of your family's history.

'The Women's Bond of Sacrifice' 2pm
Sarah Paterson tells some of the stories behind this unique collection of records of women who died in the First World War.

'War Memorials and Researching Family History' 3.30pm
Jane Furlong of the UK National Inventory of War Memorials (UKNIWM) explains how war memorials in the UK can help you research your family history.
