Variety Club Celebrity Christmas Carol Concert

This candle-lit concert will raise funds for the many thousands of children whom Variety Club supports throughout the UK and more than a hundred of those children will be Variety's guests at the cathedral.

Music will be provided by Southbank Sinfonia.

The guest choir for the evening will be the Twyford Gospel Choir, finalists in the 2008 Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year competition, and the legendary Patti Boulaye will be one of the soloists. The other will be Steffan Rhys Hughes, winner of more than fifty first place Eisteddfod and festivals medals. . . and he's only 14 years old.

Celebrity readers taking part include Robert Powell, Nicky Campbell and Colin Buchanan from the BBC's Dalziel and Pascoe.
