This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The Largactyl Shuffle guided walk from the Maudsley Hospital (map) to Tate Modern explores the theme of Easter eggs, Easter and wellbeing.

Join CoolTan Arts on this fun filled family day out and discover local history - famous & infamous -inhabitants of Southwark, see hidden local architecture and uncover the history of mental health in Southwark.

Walkers will be treated to an 'Easter Egg Treasure Hunt' and the person who collects most eggs will win a prize.

The Largactyl Shuffle is a guided arts cultural walk designed to explore the correlation between mental well being and physical well being through art, history, humour and exercise.

Celebrating mental well-being and de-stigmatising mental health. Our participants and volunteers (some of whom are experiencing or recovering from mental distress) are central to this project, as organisers, tour guides, artists, or walkers dramatically enhancing their quality of life, contributing to reducing relapse and assisting in their search for support and recovery.

Along the route there will be an opportunity to view artwork done by CoolTan participants. A voluntary contribution will be appreciated; all money donated goes towards the work of the Charity and to keep the Largactyl Shuffle shuffling along.
