Live performances by the Solaris Quartet of the pieces by the winner and runners-up of the Imperial War museum's Young Composer Competition.

The competition was launched in 2008 to mark the ninetieth anniversary of the end of the First World War, encouraging young musicians to bring fresh meaning to the anniversary.

Young composers from around the UK were invited to submit compositions written for string quartet inspired by the In Memoriam exhibition.

The composition by the winner, Ben Cox of St Catherine's College, Cambridge, will feature in the In Memoriam exhibition until September.
