Joseph's Amazing Camels – the only camel-racing business in the UK – brought their four camels to Potters Fields Park where riders dressed as Cleopatra, Tutankhamen and an Egyptian mummy took part in a series of races.

A queue of children eager for a ride on a camel soon formed at one end of the enclosure.

It's not the first time that the camels have come to the riverside park between City Hall and Tower Bridge – last September they took part in an event with Saracens rugby club.
