Western Riverside Environmental Fund had helped to fund updated signage for the green

It is 10 years since the Waterloo Millennium Green at the corner of Baylis Road and Waterloo Road was opened to the public.

Developed by the Waterloo Green Trust, it has now passed into the care of Bankside Open Spaces Trust.

The green is a community-run park and does not receive regular funding from Lambeth Council.

Recent improvements include the installation of new benches under the trees and new signage. This project was supported by a grant from the Western Riverside Environmental Fund.

Now BOST is inviting residents to join the new locally-led steering group for Waterloo Millennium Green.

The group will ensure continued local management and will help with fundraising and planning for the future.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact Mary O'Connell on [email protected] or 020 7928 6303.

• The next steering group meeting will be on Tuesday 30 November 6pm-7pm upstairs at
Waterloo Action Centre. All welcome. RSVP to Mary O'Connell.
