The eleventh annual Waterloo Carnival procession took to the streets on Friday lunchtime.

Participants in the procession ranged in age from 2 to 82.

Pupils of Coin Street Nursery, Oasis Academy Johanna and Cobourg Primary School took part in the circus-themed parade along with senior citizens from Blackfriars Settlement.

Joining the carnival for the first time were pupils from Waterloo's new secondary school Oasis Academy South Bank which opened last September.

The parade made its way along Lower Marsh, Westminster Bridge Road and Baylis Road before heading through the Tanswell Estate to reach Waterloo Millennium Green.
