Thameslink work begins at last

Work on the Thameslink rail project (formerly Thameslink 2000) finally began in Luton this week. Major work around Blackfriars and Borough Market will begin in early 2009.

Mayor: I "strongly support" Berkeley Homes at Potters Fields

Mayor of London Ken Livingstone has reiterated his strong support for the Berkeley Homes development at Potters Fields and accused Southwark Council of "depriving Londoners of 374 new homes".
