Joanna Lumley has agreed to become the ambassador for the Child Welfare Scheme charity based in Loman Street.

EV and neighbours win Southwark In Bloom awards

EV Restaurant has won a silver gilt award for its much admired outdoor plants and flowers in the forecourt behind Southwark Station.

Troilus & Cressida at Shakespeare's Globe

Troilus and Cressida is one of Bankside's local plays. William Shakespeare took the tale from Chaucer who had dedicated his version to John Gower, a resident in the Southwark Priory precinct.
