SE1 landmarks join 'light it blue' salute to NHS and care workers

The Shard, the London Eye, the Oxo Tower and the National Theatre were among the SE1 landmarks that were bathed in blue light on Thursday night to coincide with the national ripple of applause for NHS staff and care workers dealing with COVID-19.

Soon-to-close Borough Medical Centre could be used for COVID-19 response

Two SE1 GP surgeries which served nearly 5,000 patients will close next week - but the empty Borough Medical Centre could be used by the local NHS to help respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
