Hundreds visit gay Christmas Fayre in Waterloo

Around a thousand people took part in the House of Homosexual Culture Christmas Fayre on Saturday at St John’s Waterloo.

Southwark marks John Harvard's 400th anniversary

"I am thrilled to be with you in this year to celebrate gloriously the four hundredth anniversary of John Harvard's baptism," Revd Professor Peter Gomes of Harvard University told the Sunday morning congregation in Southwark Cathedral.

Sir Terence Conran, founder of the Design Museum and leading light in the revitalisation of Butler's Wharf, was last week awarded an honorary doctorate by London South Bank University.
