Spectators gathered on the viewing platform at Tate Modern's Blavatnik Building cheered when Cruise waved at them from the top of the chimney of the former Bankside Power Station.

Last month Cruise filmed a stunt for the movie on the roof of Blackfriars Railway Station.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is due to be released at the end of July
