Better Bankside Pancake Day Race at Cathedral Square

Watch teams from local businesses as they compete in the annual Better Bankside Pancake Day Race in Montague Close.

The event is held in aid of Paintings in Hospitals, the charity based at the Menier Gallery in Southwark Street.

The acting dean of Southwark Cathedral, Canon Andrew Nunn, will begin the race and all are welcome to come along, support their teams and enjoy the live music.

For spectators and participants Borough Market trader Baxter’s and The Refectory at the Cathedral will be selling pancakes with a variety of toppings: cinnamon, lemon, Nutella, fruit salad and banana.
