Lambeth Mayor Cllr Christopher Wellbelove visited Costcutter in York Road last week to open a new Tikka Hut counter and collect a cheque for his mayoral charity.
The Tikka Hut counter at Costcutter next to Waterloo Station serves a range of curries and Indian snacks. A box containing a portion of curry and rice costs £3.99. The counter is open daily 7am-7pm.
The Mayor also visited the offices of Sunstar Group which operates a number of local Costcutter stores.
Cllr Wellbelove was presented with a cheque for Lambeth Women's Aid, one of three charities he is supporting during his mayoral year.
